As a sports fan, a good deal of time is spent complaining and ranting about the injustice of it all when my team loses and gloating when they win but every once and a while an event happens that transcends sports and reminds us that life is precious and what’s really important is who you watch the game with and not the outcome.
I’ve been a Caps fan for just nigh on thirty years and by now you would think I wouldn’t be surprised by this any more but alas I still am. They looked so good in the first round. Showed great heart and versatility. Time to rest and playing a team that just went seven games and now … nothing. I’ve seen this play before and I know the lines by heart.
I think I get how Saints fans must have felt last year. To go from also rans to the best team in the league is exciting. Lots of expectations but lots of excitement too. It’s just fun to know they really have a shot at winning it all. GO CAPS!!!!
