I saw Thor over the weekend and I have to say it was one of the best, turn a comic book hero into a movie movies, that I have ever seen. It rolled along. There were no slow points and the actors were quite good and believable. A++, 5 stars or whatever top grade you want to put out there for it.
My wife and I went to see this over the weekend and both of us had the same opinion of the movie. Why wasn’t it made into 2? This is a 652 page book and they just left too much out for the movie to make sense. It skipped around a lot and one scene didn’t flow into the next. Don’t get me wrong, it was good and entertaining but it could have been so much more.
We both came up with the same example afterward so I’ll expound on that one. After the confrontaion in the tower, in the book, there is a pitched battle within the school. That doesn’t take place in the movie and I think it goes to support some of the things that happen in the next book. It just didn’t make sense why they left that bonding moment of the students out of the movie. I’ll give the movie 3 stars, not because it was bad but because it was so lacking in depth.
